Freedom, love and desire ( Practicing my English skills)
Freedom gains its force in the desire to love and to feel oneself loved. The human heart is one of desire, always looking for whom to surrender it or what or who can satisfy its deepest longing. Freedom dissociated from love makes the power of desire not disappear but hypertrophied, makes one’s experience of freedom as only the satisfaction of desires. Freedom, driven by desire, becomes into a dizzying exercise of selfishness; it satisfies the desires, but not the yearning of the heart. Thus, wants more and more, wanting to attract goods and honors or, perhaps, to be seduced by promises of always-insufficient satisfactions that end up in disappointment, frustration and loneliness.
